Chasing the sweet things in life

Sweet Paul baby shower - blondewalk

Since baby Paul was born, we have referred to him as Sweet Paul. Ever wonder why? Allow us to explain.

When Anthropologie started carrying the Norwegian Blogger, Paul Lowe’s “Sweet Paul” magazines and cookbook, we were immediately hooked. Relating to his heritage and name, we developed into some of his biggest fans and promoters. As we have a history of “Pauls” in the family, it seemed natural to nickname him Sweet Paul. This led us to our theme for the baby shower.

From the food selection and decorations to the photo wall and invitations, everything was inspired by Paul Lowe’s recognizable brand.

The menu included recipes from the Sweet Paul cookbook or magazines and a few Norwegian family favorites. The show-stopping vanilla cake with almond meringue butter cream icing was made by Jessie Couture of #jessandkaitbake.  Be sure to check out some of their unbelievably gorgeous creations on Instagram.

Other food & beverage items included:

Décor was simple with earthy tones, which allowed us to showcase the colorful menu. Crystal, from Balloonatic provided us with the fringed balloons. We cannot thank her enough. These balloons framed the food table and were the perfect addition to the party.

The photo wall made for the ultimate backdrop for everyone to get pictures with the new baby. This was made from a collection of magazine covers from our Sweet Paul magazines – truly a memorable aspect of the day.
