Justine turns 30!

Justine turns 30 - blondewalk

There are times when we throw parties for no particular reason and then there are real life milestones that everybody should celebrate. Turning 30 is definitely one of those milestones. Justine turned 30 early last month and we are so exited to share her SURPRISE party on the blog.

I (Brit) decided a NYC theme would be perfect, considering Justine and I visited New York a month prior. Planning this party was so fun and a bit tricky seeing as Justine plays a major part in bringing our parties to life.

The invites were sent to guest via Paperless Post. It is an easy option for e-invites that is still presentable. We used Rifle Paper Co.’s New York print for the invite to set the stage for the party. After downloading the app, I was able track who was attending and easily communicate with guests. Paperless Post does have free invite options, but for a small cost you are able to personalize the invite for your event.

The food consists of all New York themed items including NYC style pizza from Red Swan Pizza. The pizza shop is a hidden gem in the Saskatoon – we love love love the butter chicken option. The dessert table was the best part of the party consisting of hand crafted NYC cookies, mini donuts and a stunning purple ombré cake topped with the Statue of Liberty.

A few extra touches included a custom playlist consisting of NYC themed songs including Empire State of Mind, Welcome to New York, New York New York and Talkin’ New York.

Thankfully we successfully surprised Justine! It was such a wonderful night celebrating with everyone!
